The Future of Recruitment Technology

Clare Hopping

Mobile RecruitmentBusiness Standard believes the future of recruitment technology hinges on mobility, personalisation and predictive intelligence. Technology is a necessity if you want to make your recruitment process more streamlined, more efficient and most importantly, attract the very best talent.

The website bases its claims on a 2013 a study by Simply Hired that discovered 70 per cent of active job seekers are currently using their mobile devices to search for jobs.

Perhaps more of a shock, it was also revealed that despite so many candidates using their mobiles to find a job, only 7% of recruiters have a mobile version of their career site while less than 3 per cent have a mobile 'direct job apply' button - meaning even if candidates want to apply via mobile, they are unable to.

Social media is also playing a massive part in recruitment and the platform is key for engaging job seekers and picking out the top talent.

We'll also start to see a shift on jobs sites as they start to become more interactive, allowing one-click applications, video interviewing, CV innovation, social interaction and the ability to track an applications from start to finish.

The whole process will aid recruiters find the best talent possible and understand that candidate behaviour more than ever before, ensuring every recruitment campaign is a successful one.
