Is Recruitment More Technologically Disruptive Than Any Other Industry?

Clare Hopping

recruiting-techAn article on Forbes discusses the technology being used in recruitment and how this will shift over time, making the sector one of the most technological adapted sectors of all.

The article says there are nine areas where recruitment trends are shifting to take onboard the opportunities provided by technology.

First up, it says the convergence of talent management and ERP platforms such as Oracle and Taleo and SAP and SuccessFactors allow recruiters to take advantage of end-to-end solutions. This will then link to middleware HR tools, completing the whole employee lifecycle process. Additionally, user experience in these software systems will be tweaked to make recruiting and retaining leads more efficient and big data will allow recruiters to match up talent to the perfect job.

Mobile will be a huge factor in the changing recruitment landscape as both recruiters and candidates become more accustomed to using mobile for everything they do, whether that's finding jobs, applying for jobs, posting jobs or reviewing candidates.

Video, social and wearables are three additional tools you'll have at your disposal to bring onboard the most talented and suitable candidates, making the process of finding, screening and appointing the right people an effortless experience.
